Where does the rate come from?
From the same sources BudgetPro uses: the Frankfurter reference rate, and for the Brazilian real the AwesomeAPI market rate. You can also type the rate your bank or transfer service gives you.
Add your monthly lines and income, and see them in another currency at today's rate, with what's left over.
Calculations run in your browser. Only currency codes go to the exchange-rate service. Device saving and carrying a plan are optional; inputs go to your BudgetPro workspace only when you approve an import.
Worked example: a monthly budget of R$6.500,00 costs $1,300.00 at 5 reais per dollar. If the rate falls to 4.50, the same budget costs $1,444.44. From a $1,500 income, only $55.56 remains before transfer fees and other expenses.
Illustration only, not a live exchange-rate quote or a cost-of-living estimate. The four expense lines total R$6,500; your rent, taxes, healthcare and travel may differ.
When your income is in dollars and your bills are in reais, each dollar buys fewer reais as that rate falls. Enter actual expenses, compare both directions of the rate buffer, and keep a cash cushion for costs you cannot postpone.

Exchange rates move. The range shows what your budget would cost if the rate went up or down by the share you pick, so you can see how much room to leave.
Yes. Each country gets its own budget in its own currency, and Combined Budget adds them up in one currency.
